Regular Monthly Meetings

As currently scheduled, fiscal year 2016 meetings of the Board of Supervisors will be held on the last Thursday of each month at the Harmony Golf Preserve Clubhouse, 7251 Five Oaks Drive, Harmony, Florida, starting promptly at 6:00 p.m.; unless otherwise noted.

Irregular Special Meetings

The following special meetings have been scheduled during fiscal year 2016.  Unless noted otherwise, these categorized meetings are held at the Harmony Golf Preserve Clubhouse, 7251 Five Oaks Drive, Harmony, Florida; on the dates and at the times shown.

  • October 29, 2015, @ 5:00 p.m. – Plans Workshop  {Developer presentation}
  • June 30, 2015, @ 4:00 p.m. – Budget Workshop   [for Fiscal Year 2017]

This listing is updated at such times as the Board agendizes additional meetings.

All meetings of the Board are open to members of the public (unless it meets in executive session to discuss pending litigation matters).  Agendas are available at the District Office and on-line seven (7) days prior to the meeting.  A limited quantity of hard copies (Agenda Order-of-Business page only) will be available at each meeting for members of the public.

For anyone wishing to comment on agenda items, or other matters of import, the Board requests that audience members provide their written comments prior to the meeting; or if during the course of the meeting, prior to the Board making any motions.

Additional meetings may be scheduled as items of business dictate.  These include, among others, Hearings to adopt the annual fiscal year budget and Workshops to discuss specific items of interest in the conduct of District business.  Discussion topics may include such items as fiscal budgets, rules revisions, proposal reviews, etc.

The District operates on the same fiscal year ("FY") basis as other governmental entities.  The fiscal year begins on October 1 and ends on September 30 of the following year.  All public records are filed by fiscal year, all accounting records are kept by fiscal year, and all Resolutions of the Board are numbered by fiscal year.

Per Florida Statutes ("F.S.") all District Meetings, Hearings, and Workshops are advertised at least seven (7) days in advance in the Orlando Sentinel or the Osceola News Gazette, and within the community.  The public is invited to attend all District Meetings and to give their comments on whatever topics are the subject of the meeting (e.g., annual budget, rules revisions, property assessments, etal).

Note:  Any meeting may be rescheduled to accommodate Board Member schedules.

Florida Law requires that the District publish an annual meeting schedule for each fiscal year, one time, in a newspaper of general circulation in Osceola County.  District staff also works with other communication providers in the community to assure that dates and times of Board meetings are disseminated to the public.

The Board has also made many commonly requested public records available on-line, for your convenience and information; including meeting agendas, previous meeting minutes, and a wide range of other community records (e.g., rules, budgets, assessments, etal).
